This Just In!

The nurse from the clinic just called. Out of the 14 eggs, 12 were mature. Of the 12, 6 fertilized using ICSI. I'm thrilled! That's one more embie than I had been praying for, since I knew our chances of having many fertilized weren't that great. I'll know more tomorrow as to whether we will do a transfer on Friday or Sunday. Grow little embies, grow!

I am glad everything turned out okay. I am sure that was a bit scary to have the samples come back so low but at least the ICSI saved them. We do not have any male factor but we still had ICSI -my doctor likes to do it on everyone. I have no idea why.

I will be praying that your little embies grow! Keep us updated on when transfer is and how it goes. How many are you planning to put back? Will you freeze the rest?

Grow, grow, grow! Since I'm having trouble typing that much coherently, I'll stop...

Congrats on your numbers! That's wonderful news. Our doctor used ICSI with my husband too. That way, the sperm is injected right into the egg instead of trying to fertilize it itself, especially if count and/or motility is an issue.
I'll be praying your embryos grow.
