I'm still new to blogging, so I was wondering why people use * instead of vowels when they discuss drug names like L*pron. Is it so that search engines won't pick up these words as key terms? Are the drug companies going to track my progress and refuse to serve me with their meds if I diss their products? Please fill me in. I'm feeling paranoid. Maybe it's the meds.
Not much new today. I had to get a little snarky with a friend who keeps alerting me to baby pictures and such (she knows my situation.) Even though she really was pushing it (3 baby pictures pushed on me in one day), I still feel bad for finally spelling out why I might just not be interested right now. I think I hurt her feelings. But these were babies of people I don't even really know! It wasn't like they were her baby pictures or anything.
I go for monitoring tomorrow. Hope to see some good things, but will it be too early to tell? I've only been on the stims since Saturday. I'll also need to order more drugs ASAP after I get my results tomorrow, since I am paying my money in a slow, blood-letting process.
Hope all is well in your corner of the blogosphere!

Yeah, the * thing is to keep search engines from picking up your blog as one of their top sites if someone searches for, say, R@pronex. I've seen people do it with other stuff, too, like the name of an RE clinic or an adoption agency.
That's good that you get such an early ultrasound! My clinic is stingy with them - the first one they do is at day 7 or 8. I bet you'll see some follicles, but they will be small. In any case, don't worry if you don't see all that many - they really start to ramp up a bit later!
Yep, and because people wind up with a stack of spam comments. UGH. Spam comments.
What was she thinking?? And babies that aren't even hers at that. I think you are perfectly justified in telling her how you feel - and hurting her feeling? Welcome to the daily like of an infertile.
Hope this cycle goes well for you.
I just wanted to say hello - I found your blog through Stirrup Queens and have enjoyed reading it so far. I'm going to add a link on my blog to yours. I'm looking forward to following your journey!
I have a friend who sends massive amounts of baby pictures and boy does it irritate me. I finally snapped when she sent me baby shower pictures from someones shower that I don't even know. I let her know that people in my situation don't take too kindly to lots of pictures of babies and pregnant women. Did that stop her from sending pics of her kid? NO! Some people are just clueless!
I don't know why people send around baby pictures of random babies. I don't blame you for your reaction.
I was also curious about the medicine thing - what a great idea!
I hope you see lots of follicles in the sonogram!
That stinks about your friend. Hopefully, she can understand why that would be upsetting, and is especially senseless since you don't know the people!
